Kona Makai 3-203 is a beautifully appointed 2nd floor condo with a partial ocean view. This condo is fully equipped with everything you may need for your Vacation! Your own private Wifi network available for use as well! Air Conditioning is in the bedroom & living room for your comfort! Cal-King sized bed in the bedroom. The bathroom has been remodeled, complete with a wonderful walk in shower!
Building 3 is especially great because of the positioning of the 2nd private lanai. It's much cooler than any other building in the complex!
The Kona Makai is a beautiful, sunny, highly sought after Ocean Front Complex located on famous Alii Drive just 1.3 miles from Kailua Village. The Kona Makai features include lush tropical gardens, ocean front pool and spa, sunny lounge area, 2 work out rooms, eating area w/ gas BBQ’s, tennis courts, covered parking, free wireless internet, cable TV and is gated during the night for security.

**All guests are required to sign a rental agreement with Property Manager Property Management in addition to purchasing a Damage Protection Plan or providing a Security Deposit if they stay at this property. Inquire within for specific details**
**All Reservation Requests greater than 12 months in Advance MUST be approved in advance by the Broker In Charge. Rates are subject to change.**
*Starting July 22nd Kona Makai will be starting the exterior painting project on Building 4.
Currently they are estimating between 1.5 - 2 Months to complete each building for this work.
Their current order for the painting of the buildings mentioned below with the possible affected dates.
Building 4 7/22 - 9-22
Building 5 9/22 - 11/22
Building 3 11/22 - 1/22
The painting and spalling contractor has agreed to take a break from work for Ironman and the Christmas holidays. Work will stop from October 21st-29th for Ironman. Work will stop from December 23rd- January 3rd for the Holidays
All dates are subject to change and Property Manager has no say or control in if dates are changed. Dates are given by the complex's hired painting vendor.
The mentioned work will be affecting access to units at possible given times between the work being done on the building. Kona Makai will be sending notices of more specific dates that access will be affected between work hours. We unfortunately cannot provide any given dates for this. Other areas such as lanai access will be affected during times as well. Furthermore the AC will also not be allowed during specific times/dates when the work is going on.
Noise and obstructed views are also to be expected between the dates mentioned.
The contractor plans on beginning spalling repairs on building 2 on September 9th , 2024 at 8:00 am. They plan to set up a scaffold at the oceanside end of the building and they will begin work on the column supporting landings in the stairwell. As they proceed, they will be working on leading edges of lanais on both sides of the building, windowsills, walls, and stairs throughout the building. When building 2 is complete they plan on moving to building 1 and then building 6.

We already want to go back to Kona Makai! If you are looking for a cozy and comfortable home base for you to come back to once you are finished with a day of exploring, or a nice relaxing place to layout by the pool or in front of the ocean (breath taking rocky shoreline), then book this condo!

We did find some tropical insects ( bigger than 1/2 in) in the unit.
Reasonable price and quiet place and pool and location were real highlights.I would stay there again.

Very clean, close to everywhere, peaceful, calm... Really amazing
I booked with another coming Amy and got three emails compared to about 15-20 with this property plus another 5 or soto resolve a rebook because of them overbooking.
Ocean front property, so just a small walk from the apartment to the ocean and you can watch yellow tangs
Pleasantly surprised. The grounds were fabulous...(Always workers around caring for the property). I actually think the pictures could be better. The barbeque area is right next to the water, and we spent a lot of time around the area meeting other couples and enjoying the sound of the surf...
The condo is very well stocked with anything you need to cook. It was clean and well supplied with toiletries. It was perfect.
Our only constructive criticism is finding the location of the conddo. Late at night, the property location was easy. But building 3 is not. The layout can be confusing. An owner came in and helped orient us. Friendly people...
We will go there again. We have more diving and exploring to do... Thanks to the owners
