Nestled at the edge of a secluded cove and beach, the newly remodeled 'Waving Turtle' Oceanfront Townhome offers dramatic ocean views from its lanai, living room, kitchen, master bedroom and master bathroom. It offers views of year round sunsets, winter migrating whales, occasional gregarious spinner dolphins, shy sea turtles and yellow tang in the curling turquoise waves of the cove and the ocean beyond. As the moon approaches full, you can see it reflected in the calm evening seas and very early morning moon sets over the ocean from your comfortable king bed. When the trade winds blow across the palm tree-lined beach under a sky full of stars, you will truly believe this is heaven on earth.
The Waving Turtle has two bedrooms and two bathrooms and is set up to accommodate up to 4 guests with a king bed in the ocean-facing bedroom and two twin beds in the garden-facing bedroom. The beds are equipped with quality linens, pillows and comfortable new mattresses. There is a bathroom on each floor. The downstairs bath has a walk-in shower and the upstairs bath has a tub-shower.
There is plenty of storage space to tuck away all your gear for uncluttered living. A new mini split air conditioning system keeps the downstairs living area and upstairs bedrooms cool when needed along with new ceiling fans in each room when ocean breezes and open air living are desired. The private and spacious covered ocean-facing lanai (patio) has a ceiling fan and a large table with comfortable chairs for easy outdoor dining and early morning coffee. When you're in the mood, a 50 inch smart HD TV is in living room. Free secure Wi-Fi is available throughout the unit. A dedicated parking space is just steps away.
The kitchen is nicely equipped with all the basics including an electric stove, dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator. Small appliances include a coffee maker and grinder, blender, rice cooker, crock pot, mixer, toaster, and electric kettle. There is a large washer and dryer, quality bedding, and plenty of beach and bath towels. Four beach chairs, a cooler and a beach umbrella are for use on the local beach or other beaches on the island.

Set 5 miles south of Kona-Kailua town, the beautiful 17 acre tropical grounds are luscious and well maintained and have the amenities you will enjoy including a large swimming pool, three lighted Premier tennis courts, PICKLE BALL! We've got 4 Premier Courts! Tennis, too! two covered pavilions, a ping pong table, a volley ball court and well maintained gas and charcoal grills throughout the complex. Pathways lead along oceanfront lava cliffs where dramatic waves can be seen during storms.

The resort itself is in a great location, with easy access to snorkeling, shopping, restaurants, and a movie theater. The location made for easy day trips north or south of the island. We were frequent users of the resort's pool which was never crowded. The resort also had many barbecue stations available throughout the property.
The resort was decorated for Christmas with decorated Christmas trees throughout the property and lights, which made it feel like Christmas.
We would highly recommend this townhouse and look forward to returning.

The condo was better appointed than most we have stayed in. The beach could not have been enjoyed w/o the umbrella and chairs (due to a medical condition); the fact that these items and a cooler were provided was one of the best aspects of the condo for us.
The kitchen is extremely well stocked (lots of spices, pots, dishes, appliances, kitchen tools including those needed for the outside BBQ's), we like to cook and this unit really felt like home. I was a bit concerned about the dining room being outside, but that concern evaporated on the first day.
Sitting outside was wonderful, the lanai is enclosed on three sides, never got too hot, and the resident geckos were so entertaining (the same four hung out with us the whole week and we began to realize they each have their own distinct personality).
The unit was extremely clean, and the air conditioner worked great, we were very comfortable. The unit is obviously well cared for and very thoughtfully appointed.
The property manager was one of the most helpful I've ever worked with and although I think (hope!) we were low maintenance, a couple of minor issues were attended to right away. Having a washing machine was great, and allowed us to not have to check luggage.
The complex is quiet with a nice beach next door (partial sand partial volcanic rock, not swimmable). The pool is wonderful, and well maintained and clean.
Very close to Kona, and we really enjoyed our two day trips to Hilo (waterfalls) / Mauna Kea on the Saddle, and Volcano National Park.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. We had an absolutely delightful vacation.
Master bed was comfortable; bedroom furniture was all solidly constructed (nothing from Target or Ikea). Sheets were good quality.
Everything was so clean -- exactly as pictured.
Our only issues really had nothing to do with the care and attention the owners have put into their gorgeous condo -- the TV remote was buggy and we had some issues with the dishwasher (totally a Knudson issue).
We will be back for sure!!

Well stocked - but odd dryer/washer space and directions. Sparse living room furniture - but stayed outside - perfect large table and plenty of chairs.
Master bed not made upon arrival - sheets left in dryer smelled moldy...but overall clean rooms and areas.
This condo on the ocean really was a Dream come true for us. The Sound of the waves was so relaxing. The cleanliness of the place was second to none

The fixtures/decor didn't strike us as "remodeled" necessarily, but we didn't see what the neighboring units looked like. Everything was very neatly kept and super-clean, and service was excellent. The management team was very communicative and housekeeping was great, too. They use a "hospitality" app to keep you updated with check-in instructions, gate/door codes and other helpful info along the way. Everything was simple and easy.
One minor piece of advice: bring walking shoes! We grabbed some "water shoes" at Long's in the shopping center up the hill because even our closed-toed shoes were letting in lots of small rocks. It's a rocky beach but beautiful to walk along if you get to.
There were also **** roaches present, so the unit needed spraying.
We did enjoy the location, right on the beach and the pool and pool area was great.
