The first aid kit came in handy unfortunately, but we were so glad to have it after slipping on a rock.
The chairs, boogie boards, flashlights, and beach towels were also great to have on hand. The communal pool was pleasant and clean. We would’ve used ping pong paddles if there had been any.
Access to the beach was as described. It was right there. No sea turtles this visit. The beach is rocky but a few steps from a sandier area with some shady sitting spots.
The main Kona tourist part of town, gift shops, restaurants, etc. was about a 12 min. drive. There was a grocery store about 3 min away.
The beds were very comfy.
At first we were worried about no AC, but in Jan. the temps were fine and we were usually out of the room during the hottest part of the day. We all slept fine at night with the windows open.
The sectional in the living room made it very easy to relax and visit with each other.
The kitchen was well equipped so we made our own shrimp tacos one night and had breakfast and lunch there often, watching the ocean. There were spices as well as utensils, cutlery, dishes, pans and skillets. The fridge is full sized with an ice maker.
We enjoyed the visit very much!
