Showers and restrooms are conveniently located in the large pavilion near the swimming pool and tennis courts.
One of the most interesting features of the Keauhou Surf and Racquet Club are the numerous archaeological sites. These preserved areas provide a glimpse of Hawaiian life years ago. Each site has a posted description of the activities that took place years and years ago.
The Keauhou Surf and Racquet Club has many gardens and walking trails. ONE GOES DIRECTLY TO A BEACH!! Flowers and tropical foliage are abundant. There are several outdoor barbecue areas for guests to go to.

I spent many hours of research trying to find the perfect place for my family to stay for our first trip to Hawaii, so I'll share for you how it turned out:
First, the Surf and Racquet Club: We were very happy with this property. It's a large well landscaped property and we found it to be very quiet. If you need to stretch your legs, you can walk along the rocky shore and there's even access to a small beach to the North. We appreciated being less than 5 minutes from a shopping center and from the marina (snorkel and manta tours).
We found the communication with Knutson to be excellent. We texted them a couple of times with questions and someone got back to us within minutes. Also, we were able to extend our stay with a quick phone call and 5 minutes later had an email receipt.
This unit (4-102) specifically: Air conditioning! There are 3 mini split heat pump heads in this unit, and they are awesome for cooling down and reducing humidity inside! The beds were quite comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. Don't expect everything to be in perfect condition... the salt air is brutal and this property is not brand new, so there is bit of rust here and there and the back door doesn't slide very well. The dishwasher and washer/dryer were very new though, so no worries there.
We were happy on the ground floor. Out on the lanai we were visited every morning by lots of little birds having breakfast in the grass and a couple of shy geckoes. Due to the angle and shape of this particular building, the lanai always had shade and was quite comfortable even in the afternoon. Beautiful sunset views of course but we also enjoyed the night view of the city.
One small disadvantage of this unit was that the owners had a car stored in the designated parking space. We had to use the visitor spaces, which sometimes meant parking a couple of buildings away.
Overall we were very happy with this choice and we would recommend it to friends!
