Welcome to Keauhou Kona Surf & Racquet Club, Unit #3-202! This beautiful, DIRECT oceanfront condo is Hawaiian Living at it's finest! Hear the ocean directly from the living room, lanai, and master bedroom. This condo is located on the 2nd floor of building 3. The condo has beach gear available for your convenience, and is fully equipped to help you have the perfect vacation.

The Keauhou Surf and Racquet Club is a gated community of condominiums. There are three professional style tennis courts with night lighting. The large remodeled swimming pool is ideal for “laps” and also for small children and other water activities. Showers and restrooms are conveniently located in the large pavilion near the swimming pool and tennis courts.
One of the most interesting features of the Keauhou Surf and Racquet Club are the numerous archeological sites. These preserved areas provide a glimpse of Hawaiian life years ago. Each site has a posted description of the activities that took place years and years ago.
The Keauhou Surf and Racquet Club has many gardens and walking trails. Flowers and tropical foliage are abundant. There are several outdoor barbecue areas for guests to use.
The Big Island is also known as the golf capital of Hawaii with 16 courses, 11 that are located in West Hawaii. There is a new driving range called the "Swing Zone" located near the Kailua Pier, for anyone who wants to brush up on a short stay.

need to get out of bed to hear the surf below or watch the passing boats . The kitchen is well-appointed, open to the spacious and attractive dining/living room area. Whether on the couch with a book or the veranda/lanai with coffee, Ifound I wanted to "stay put" in the solitude of this airy "eyrie" for the two days of a most pleasant getaway. For the others, the unit was a homey base to get to local destinations that were a little more lively and vibrant. Warmest thanks to the Knutson staff for for a wonderful time in Kona!
The location was close enough to the shops in Kona, but far enough away that it is quiet. The grocery store was a short drive or walk up the hill. There is a farmers market on Saturday mornings where you can pick up the freshest fruit I have ever tasted. My wife and I miss the island already and are looking forward to a return trip within the year.
Unit 3-202 is a little tired but clean and serviceable, an overhead fan doesn't reverse, the coffee maker didn't work, some of the plastic-ware in the fridge was broken, large washer/dryer, walls are scuffed and stained in places, the bed and pillows are hard, we bought and left behind new pillows and a pillow-top mattress pad.
Good floor plan, large deck, lovely view, nice breeze through the unit.
The biggest drawback is the vintage of the construction - floors are not well insulated for sound. Footfalls in the unit above boom loudly. As much as we love kids, we were lucky there weren't any above us. The back-and-forth booming of the adults was annoying enough.
We'd stay at Surf & Racquet again, but only in a top floor unit. We would not recommend 3-202.
The condo was as described with a beautiful absolutely oceanfront view and the rooms and property amenities were as shown in the add. The few problems we had were immediately addressed by management.
As an added bonus the condo is also within walking distance of an excellent snorkelling beach and an easy drive to the mall for grocery shopping. While close enough to Kona for entertainment and shopping it is also far enough away from it to offer quiet and relaxing accommodation - a perfect location.
I would definitely stay here again when I return to the Big Island for another holiday.
