There is queen bed in the downstairs bedroom. The upstairs bedrooms feature two extra long twin beds in one bedroom and a California King sized bed in the primary bedroom. All bedrooms have ceiling fans. There is also a queen sleeper sofa in the living room.
Have a larger group? We manage Townhome#37 that's a 3 bedroom that also sleeps 6 next door. Both townhomes would sleep 14 total!
The Keauhou Surf and Racquet Club is a gated community of condominiums. There are three professional style tennis courts with night lighting. The large remodeled swimming pool is ideal for “laps” and also for small children water activities. Showers and restrooms are conveniently located in the large pavilion near the swimming pool and tennis courts.
One of the most interesting features of the Keauhou Surf and Racquet Club are the numerous archeological sites. These preserved areas provide a glimpse of Hawaiian life years ago. Each site has a posted description of the activities that took place years and years ago.
The Keauhou Surf and Racquet Club has many gardens and walking trails. Flowers and tropical foliage are abundant. There are several outdoor barbecue areas for guests to use.
The Big Island is also known as the golf capital of Hawaii with 16 courses, 11 that are located in West Hawaii.

Having the grocery store close by was a blessing
Cons/Misc – While this will potentially sleep 8 there is really not room for 8 people in the house. There is seating for 4 at the table, 4 in the living room, 4 outside… any more than 4 and you would not be able to comfortably use the living space.
There is one air conditioning unit upstairs for one bedroom – it is very hot upstairs and impossible to cool anything but the one bedroom down. The bedrooms are a good size but have a lot of furniture in them so they feel smaller. Also, the beds are incredibly hard – if you like this it’s fine, but if not its very uncomfortable. Also, this unit has a very small water heater, so plan on fast cold showers if you have more than 2 people showering. The parking spot assigned to the property has the owners’ car permanently parked in it. You have to park in visitor parking which is not always easy to find late at night.
Expect to purchase basics – we were there for a week and ended up having to purchase trash bags, dishwasher soap, toilet paper and paper towels. All of these things were obviously bought by someone who had previously stayed there and we ran out while we were there. Also, there are 7 plate settings, so if you have a meal for 4, you have to run the dishwasher before the next meal.
Finally the property needs some maintenance – nothing that was impactful but general items like, dings in the wall, rusty bi-fold doors, loose screen doors, stained tubs, etc. that fixing would make the property feel a lot nicer.
