The Keauhou Surf and Racquet Club is a gated community of condominiums. There are three professional style tennis courts with night lighting.

The large swimming pool is ideal for “laps” and also for small children and other water activities. Showers and restrooms are conveniently located in the large pavilion near the swimming pool and tennis courts.
One of the most interesting features of the Keauhou Surf and Racquet Club is the numerous archaeological sites. These preserved areas provide a glimpse of Hawaiian life years ago. Each site has a posted description of the activities that took place years and years ago.
The Keauhou Surf and Racquet Club has many gardens and walking trails. ONE GOES DIRECTLY TO A BEACH!! Flowers and tropical foliage are abundant. There are several outdoor barbecue areas for guests to enjoy.

I love the location of this property. The sounds of the waves rhythmically beating against the lava rocks with the tropical flora sites and sounds are true paradise. I would have packed up the entire newly remodeled kitchen and taken it home with me if that were possible! A little disappointing: both bathrooms are windowless and do not have working fans! All the bed pillows could use replacing. They carry the oder from previous users. No number of pillow cases could conceal that smell! Those are the only setbacks. It's an amazing unit!

Breakfast on the lanai, a glass of wine watching the sunset, was a daily treat. The entire width of this condo is floor to ceiling sliding glass doors looking out at the ocean, which is not more than 20 yards away. Sleeping with the sea breeze and the sound of the surf was wonderful. The condo decor and furnishings have a designer flare. Marvelous kitchen. The bathrooms could stand a facelift, but are very functional. The property’s pool is a walk through the parking lot, and didn’t feel like a great place to hang-out, but we hung out on the lanai - nothing could possible match that experience. We also drove up to Hapuna beach several times in our two weeks and loved that there were very portable sand chairs in the guest room closet. Yes, I’d recommend this place.

Nice condo with a fabulous waterfront view -- great to have breakfast overlooking the ocean and cocktails at sunset. Comfortable and well appointed, although there were a few minor maintenance issues that require attention (broken fan, broken cabinet door). The staff is excellent -- when we checked in there were not enough paper goods (toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags), but when we called to report the issue Shyya made a special trip to the store and personally delivered them to us, so a big shout out to her and the management staff.

Really wonderful stay here. HOWEVER please be informed there is NO A/C in unit. It will be HOT. We enjoyed this unit and was very comfortable, aside from how incredibly stuffy and hot we found ourselves. Aside from that you will have everything you need, beautiful furnishings, and the Knutson & Associates staff is very friendly and courteous.

Unit was well equipped in kitchen and with bath towels. We expected but didn't get Kleenex and two bars of soap in each bathroom. Couldn't use pots & pans due to peeling Teflon but manager Blake was very responsive and got three new pans for us - thanks. Also had to ask for dishwasher soap in kitchen. Several dishes in cupboards weren't clean.

The pictures accurately describe the condo. It is very nicely stocked and furnished. The bed is extremely comfortable. All of our issues were quickly responded to. Since we stayed in October, I thought not having air conditioning would be okay. Due to climate change, I think I will always stay in an air conditioned unit from now on. I thought having carpeting so near the beach was a bad idea, but it is very nice to walk on barefoot. There are lots of extras available like chairs, umbrella, snorkel, fins and tennis rackets.

From the daily/nightly sounds of the ocean with the master bedroom lanai slider open to the incredibly beautiful and well-kept condo complex grounds to the nearness to snorkeling beaches/areas, this place is perfect. It’s spacious inside and beautifully maintained. I had an issue while staying here and the management was very, very fast to resolve it. This unit was very clean and in good condition. The kitchen had everything you might need to prepare a meal. We usually had breakfast at the condo and prepared a lunch to bring with us because we were on the go so much (saved us a lot of money on food too). Every morning we looked out over the ocean as we had breakfast and most evenings we got to watch the sunset. Beautiful! We had two minor maintenance issues neither of which impacted our enjoyment of the property. When I called the management company, Blake and his team responded to our needs the same day. I would recommend Knutson and Associates and I would stay here again.

Nice and breezy condo. A plus being right on the ocean (surprisingly not all that common in Hawaii) Clean, good location- although still a drive into Kona town. Pool has a nice range of depth including 1 foot area for the young ones, but no hot tub.

The view from this condo could not be more fantastic! Waves are literally crashing less than 50 feet away. The second floor condo has a huge balcony with 2 seating areas. We spent lots of time out there enjoying the view and the weather. We also loved the location in Keauhou at the Keauhou golf and racquet club. the complex is beautifully landscaped and maintained. Condo is very nice with a queen bedroom with a bathroom in the front and a king bed room with a separate bathroom in the back. We were 2 couples so this worked out well for us. The kitchen was really nice and super well stocked. We would definitely stay here again. The only negative was the white carpet, which we felt guilty about walking on, but since it was in the living and sleeping areas it was impossible to avoid getting it dirty.

This was a great stay, the condo is comfortable and in good condition. Waking up to a view of the ocean from the master bedroom is especially nice! The complex is several miles out of the main strip in Kailua and there aren't many services (such as restaurants or bars) within walking distance, so just be prepared to drive or take a cab if you're out and about.

Condo was great except for the lack of air conditioner (which we knew when we booked). The evenings were wonderful with the fans on and the windows and sliding glass door open, but the afternoons were miserably hot. Also, the condo has a chair in it that you aren't allowed to sit in. Why would someone have a chair like that in their rental unit?

This is one of the best Hawaiian vacation properties we have ever stayed at! The condo is well laid out with amazing oceanfront views. The kitchen is very well-stocked, the beds are comfortable and the location is convenient to the local supermarket and a great snorkelling beach. We look forward to returning soon.

Relaxing and spacious oceanfront lani with plenty of seating. No elevator, so be prepared to carry luggage and groceries up the stairs. Clean unit, comfortable beds. We stayed two nights at the end of June with day temps in the low 90's. While the unit does not have A/C we were actually very comfortable indoors during the day and at night by leaving the windows open and using the ceiling fans. Since the sun sets in front of the lani it got a little bright and warm in the late afternoon. This unit has a roll down sun shade that buffered the intense sun, but still allowed you to see through it and let the breeze come through. We were very happy with the rental experience from beginning to end. We would return to this unit again and would recommend it to anyone that is looking for a relaxing oceanfront experience. Not recommended if you insist on A/C or have anyone in your group that would have difficulty climbing 2 flights of stairs.

The condo is nice and a great location. Loved the view from the balcony! Grocery store and pharmacy are close. The only thing that was a problem was that there is NO Air Conditioning.We stayed in May and it was very humid and warm. The condo has fans but it was warm and sticky for us. I do agree with other reviews about hearing the people above walking around. You can hear them, but it wasn't that bad or too loud. It was very helpful that there are beach chairs and other beach things for use. Really liked everything else about the condo.

My wife and I had 3 weeks in Kona at KKSR. The sunsets were our favorite event. We fell asleep with the surf hitting the rocks. If you sleep in you will have some quests that on the walkway that will awaken you. You also will hear the upstairs guest passer on the ceiling. Because of the location we overlooked the small things.

We enjoyed the Surf & Turf Club and the Condo. The only issue was a beautiful antique chair that we were asked to not sit in. It was a prime place and we would have preferred a comfortable chair to sit in.

The furnishings are plush. It was even more relaxing with outdoor furniture rocking and swiveling. Sleeping was so easy in that bed and listening to the ocean. The decorations are above the norm, attractive to see. The place was immaculate, plenty of supplies with quiet appliances and overhead ceiling fans. The pool was lovely, large enough to do laps. It was comforting to have a welcoming e-mail from the property manager and information printed out for television instructions and more about the unit. We are looking forward to returning to stay again. Keauhou shopping center had a great grocery store with a deli, bakery, meat, seafood, at reasonable prices. There were a handful of eateries at the shopping center. The Coffee Shack 20 minutes away had great breakfast and lunch food.

I would highly recommend staying here. The views of the ocean are incredible, and the interior is high quality with flatscreen TV, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a full-sized kitchen, and washer/dryer. Check in/check out was easy, and the host contacted us on arriving to make sure everything had worked out with our arrival. The community is gated and includes tennis court, pool, and bbq area. It is also within walking distance of a shopping center. Not sure if there is A/C but there are adequate ceiling fans.

We had a wonderful stay in this condo. Very clean, comfortable and well-maintained. The view was exactly as the pictures showed and I would never get tired of waking up to that view from the main bedroom. Area was quiet. Very convenient to snorkeling, boogie boarding, grocery store. The condo had some snorkel gear and a boogie board. Would definitely come back. Lovely island!

My family of 4 enjoyed every minute of our 10 day stay in this unit. It came well-appointed, spotless and everything in great or brand new condition, spacious and comfortable inside and out on the huge lanai, with convenient WiFi, assigned parking and numeric door locks, and a wonderfully maintained resort pool area and tennis courts. But the best was going to sleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean waves hitting the lava shore every day = paradise! We are anti-AC people anyway and loved having the windows open for crossbreezes which kept the unit perfectly comfortable even at midday. The other plus is its location - an 8 minute walk down to Kahalu'u Beach Park, which allowed us to start everyday with a morning snorkel in clear, uncrowded (by people) waters. Also I should note that the property mgmt. did very well with frequent, effective and professional communication. Definitely would return to and recommend this unit.

This is a fantastic unit and should not be missed. We've stayed in a number of condos over the years and so far this one's our favorite. The view is spectacular and unlike many of the other buildings, this unit is angled for picture perfect sunsets every night. We noticed a number of the other buildings are angled differently and many other units wouldn't be able to see the sunset at all. This one couldn't be better. Our stay was incredibly quiet. Sure, if the neighbors upstairs are stomping around you're going to hear them, so if that would ruin your trip, hold out for a 3rd floor location. It was not a deal breaker for us. We did not hear any noise from neighbors on the sides and the complex itself is incredibly quiet; occupied by a lot of resident retirees enjoying their golden years. The pool was never crowded and is less than a 5 minute walk from the condo.

The unit itself is incredibly well equipped with anything you'd need as far as kitchen appliances and gadgets. Coffee filters and olive oil were even in the cabinet which I thought was nice (some agencies require you to throw out EVERYTHING when you go which I find simply wasteful). The beds were okay, too soft for our tastes but to each their own. The master bedroom is right up front with a million dollar view. We slept like babies listening to the waves crash on the rock outside.

the Racquet club is gated, quiet and EXTREMELY well kept. There are people working on the grounds every single day. If you're looking for a very nicely updated, quiet and peaceful place away from the hubbub of Kona Town this is the spot for you. A ten minute drive is an easy price to pay for the luxury and amenities that come with staying at this club. Don't miss it!

I feel compelled to mention that this unit does NOT have air conditioning. We stayed in November and did not find this to be a problem. We left all the windows open 24/7 and a great breeze kept us cool along with the ceiling
