Upstairs living room: Full over Full bunk 2 dogs allowed under 40lbs. No Smoking. MUST BE 25 TO RENT. Renter's ID and Credit Card must be presented at check in or via email.
Includes shared Comal River access May through September, less than a 3-minute walk from the house. Avoid the crowds at the tube chute and enter the river through this shared access down a pathway and stairs to enter the river. The pathway is approximately 3 ft wide and the stairs down to the river access are narrow, approximately 2 ft wide.
Delightful downtown New Braunfels, TX home that is walking distance to the Comal River Tube Chute, Schlitterbahn waterpark, golfing, swimming, dining, shopping, and dancing. Across the street you will find a tubing shuttle and rental. This property is just minutes from the I-35 corridor with access to San Antonio (25 min) and downtown Austin (45 min). This maximum occupancy is not to be exceeded at any time. No daytime guests allowed. Working with a rental company was certainly not my favorite thing. I was asked to email my drivers license and credit card to the rental company in order to avoid having to go to the rental office. This made me very uncomfortable..
Then I found out that I would have to go by the office anyway to pick up parking passes.
The day after returning I got a call from the rental company saying that I did not return the parking passes to the office (I did). Fortunately they found the passes during the phone call. Not cool.
So to sum it up, the house was great, but the rental experience was not.
1. A few of the rooms really are ready for a coat of paint.
2. Like many places, many of the light fixtures had very low voltage bulbs.
3. Like many older houses, there are bumps in the floor in the doorways. It would not be a good house for someone using a walker or who had balance issues. Also, the stairs were steeper than most - no big deal for most people but it would be problematic for a few.
